When you come to Appi Kogen, be sure to enjoy Alice’s best-selling pork spare ribs and the French-Italian fusion style dinner that you are encouraged to eat with a knife and fork as well as chopsticks. The Italian lunch, available only in summer, is also very popular.
Alice’s homemade cakes are also not to be missed. The homemade cheesecakes, chiffon cakes, and seasonal cakes are sure to please the ladies. To accompany the food, we recommend a glass of Iwate wine or the locally loved Washinoo sake.
The owner has been stargazing here at Appi for over 30 years and holds a summer star gazing event called Alice’s Star School. One of the pleasures of visiting is the opportunity to observe the summer constellations while listening to stories about the stars and Greek mythology.
